You are not your skin colour, weight, or age.
You are the smile that flashes
Over your face at the little delights.

You are not the numbers on your mark sheet.
You are the passion and interests that
Make your soul ecstatic.

You are not your mistakes.
You are the wisdom you gain,
In learning from them.

You are not your failures.
You are the courage that stirs within,
When you emerge stronger after each fall.

You are not the number of likes you get,
You are the satisfaction that comes,
On doing your job well.

You are not others’ opinions about you.
You are how well and good,
You treat yourself.

You are not your thoughts.
You are the unique traits
That makes you, you.

You.
