#HerShe

March 8th is International Women’s Day.

Hershey’s India has done something really beautiful to celebrate this day. I particularly loved the name of the campaign, #HerShe.

It encourages you to honour the woman who has made an impact in your life, your Shero (She-Hero).

People have always been asked to look up to others for inspiration and to learn. But we overlook the fact that we can be our own cheerleaders.

In trying to juggle their many roles and responsibilities, women forget to acknowledge their own efforts in keeping it all together. They often neglect to take care of themselves and continue to work regardless of the circumstances.

Women are strong while also being sensitive, brave while also remaining calm, and tough while still being caring.

This Women’s Day, acknowledge the women in your life. Show them that their presence in your life matters. And if you’re a woman reading this, congratulate yourself for being one. You are extremely fortunate.

I’d like to dedicate this post to myself. Yes, I am my own Shero. All women are in fact, their own Sheroes!

Let me know in the comments below, who is your Shero and why?
