Introducing: Un-Filter Coffee ☕️

It was another usual work day. To take a break, three work friends grabbed a cup of coffee and took some time away from their laptop screens.

And what ensued was an engrossing conversation about hobbies and interests. And before long, an idea formed in their minds.

Why not make this idea into reality? Why not put our collective thoughts out for the world to read?

And thus, the idea came to life: Un-filter Coffee.

What Is Un-Filter Coffee?

Un-filter Coffee is a collaborative blog post series hosted on two blogs:

1. Contemplation by Prakrithi
2. The Soulful Nib by Chetana

Over this series, we will cover varied topics and ideas and give our views and opinions. The blog posts will essentially be in a Q&A format.

There are three minds behind Un-filter Coffee: Prakrithi, Rodney, and Chetana: colleagues who are now terrific friends.

Before we dive into this series, we would like to briefly introduce who we are.

Chetana

Hi! I’m Chetana. Beyond being a Chartered Accountant, I am a music lover, a voracious reader and a fitness enthusiast. My idea of a perfect day is waking up to the sounds of rain, and curling up with a fiction read. My obsession with music is so much that there is a song playing on my mind almost all the time.

Scribbling in my diary back in 2012 made me realise my love for writing. And one fine day in May 2016 was born, “The Soulful Nib.” To this day, I consider this blog to be the turning point in my life. For, writing gave me the confidence to share my thoughts on a global platform and to this day, encourages me to think differently.

When I write, I feel like the entire world around me has stopped and I can only, and only see myself. When I write, I feel like I am on a date alone and telling the truth with the person I trust the most: me.

A random fun fact about myself: I could eat Naturals ice-cream every single day and never get bored of it!

Prakrithi

Halo Amigos! This is Prakrithi. Apart from my striking height of nearing the mark of 5 foot and professionally working as a chartered accountant, I am also an educator, a passionate scribbler of words and an untrained enthusiastic dancer.

My first writing creativity was born through a cute little poem written way back when I was just 6 years old and ever since that day, my pen hasn’t stopped scribbling the thoughts of my mind. A pen and a piece of paper are my keys to the gate to another world. I wasn’t keen to make any of my writings known to the people around me for a very long time but then my stories happened to fall into the hands of my friends who pushed me to put them out to the world and that is how I started my blog page much later in life. Even to this date, I am not regular at posting the words I write down but that hasn’t stopped me from filling pages. My way of therapy is definitely a good outburst of words on paper.

Rodney

Hi! I’m Rodney Pinto. I was told to write four lines. So here they are. Thanks & bye!

Edit #1: I was told my initial introduction is not funny and I have to re-introduce myself.

I am a Chartered Accountant by practice and a sit-down comedian when I am by myself. (Hehehehe sit-down.. get it???). Prakrithi and Chetana envy me for various reasons understandably – killer looks, silky long hair, and of course, my friendship with the Prime Minister. I am lazy and active at the same time – lazy for chores and errands, and always active for a pint of beer.

I like bikes. I like music. I like making friends. I like making friends who ride bikes and appreciate music.

This is my first attempt at blogging. Let us see how it goes!
