As I write this, a goofy grin is plastered on my face. Of course there’s a reason for it. My best friend and I will meet after a long long wait. My brother is visiting home after 5 whole months. There’s nothing more that I’ve impatiently waited for, than seeing him.
So many emotions are running within me and that’s when I knew I had to make a blog post out of this. The wait. The longingness. The impatience.
Ever since I came to know that he is coming home, I’ve (literally) counted the days. I’m sure he has too. True that my brother and I send messages to each other about everything that happens each day, be it my examinations or his presentations. Despite being connected over the messages and phone, there’s something amiss. The physical presence.
For the uninitiated, my elder brother is my best (or as they have coined a new term, bestest) friend, and probably the only person with whom I share everything that happens in my life. So naturally, it was a hard time for me to stay away from him for so long.
You might seriously think I’ve turned crazy, but I’ve even imagined the scene when I’ll meet him at the airport, countless number of times. That’s how much I’m longing to see him in front of my eyes.
What is it that makes you yearn for someone?
Maybe the love you have for them, maybe the bonding with them, or just maybe you know there’s someone out there who’ll be there for you every time you need them, to give you a patient hearing.
That’s what a best friend is for. It’s for no simple reason that they are called “best friends.” They make you be the best version of yourself.
Back to The Big Wait, my excitement is at its peak and I’m bubbling with joy and happiness to see the best person in my life in person after an arduous wait.

Let me first comment on your previous blog which was written by your dear brother Anil. He is a good writer too. He had put up his thoughts in a real complex way which may be a little difficult to understand, viz; the spirit in which it is written. The real feelings of a person who has to stay away from his loved ones, a second / third time is very well conveyed. He has expressed his feelings in the face of his real personality. You know every person has three faces. One face in front of persons who are only aquaintances, second one in front of close friends / relatives, & the third one – the real face which only you know. Here Anil has shown his real face to his loved ones in the form of expressing his feelings by words. Indeed, a good expression of one’s thought process. He has also expressed about the person/s he is missing , in a most vivid way. Feelings written in a very well manner. Big applause to Anil. ๐.
Coming to your write up -the wait – is as usual very well written. You have expressed the real feelings of a sister towards her brother & also confided what a brother means to a sister. The feelings of a sister, waiting for the time to meet her brother after a long time is very well conveyed though not expressed in words. Nice write up Chetu . Good expression. God bless you. ๐
