Free Me (A Poem)

Yearn for the day, I do
The day I’m freed from these hurdles
The day to wander sans reluctance.
Six years – since
Have I suffered enough
Deep hatred surges within me
Ain’t it getting better soon
Trying times, tiring times
A pain in the neck,
A botheration, an annoyance.
When oh, when shall I
Be liberated from its clutches!
When oh, when shall I
Look around and admire
Without it perched on my nose!
Wretched piece of plastic,
Can I please go from being
Bespectacled to de-spectacled?!
