It’s Been A Great Start to 2023!

Happy New Year, dear readers! 🤍

In one of my recent blog posts Lessons Learnt while Doing CA, I mentioned studying to become a Chartered Accountant.

And today it feels surreal to announce that I HAVE become one!

Yes, it is CA Chetana Kamath writing this blog post!

I have waited for this day for so many years. At every exam level, I have faced failures and made many mistakes. But I am so glad that it was all so worth it in the end. Seeing the four letters “PASS” changed my life completely. One moment I was a CA Final Student and the next moment I turned into a professional.

The feeling has not really sunk in, yet. I guess it will take a few more days for me to accept that I have cleared all my exams.

It is an indescribable emotion. More than 7 years ago, I was struggling to even pass the entry-level exam and would feel so disheartened that I could not pass a basic test.

But I moved forward, slowly and steadily. Faced many hurdles on the way. There were so many times I wanted to give up because seeing “Fail” written on the mark sheet despite having worked hard is painful.

There is a Hindi proverb, “Sabr Ka Phal Meetha Hota Hai” which means “patience always yields good results.” Today I agree that it is absolutely true.

Seeing the pride shining in my parents’ and brother’s eyes, and seeing the happiness of my well-wishers and my best friends makes my heart soar.

Indeed could not have asked for a nicer start to this year!

Wishing that this year goes wonderfully for all of us. Let there be countless opportunities to celebrate our wins, no matter how big or small they are.
