Tiny Feet, Infinite Love

This year flew by in the blink of an eye.

While there have been a lot of beautiful moments in my life this year, there is one that stands out.

I became an aunt to the most adorable baby boy. His arrival in the family was the most anticipated. And when he finally did, the joy on everyone’s faces was priceless.

Even though this isn’t the first time I have become an aunt, this time around, something was different. The moment I laid my eyes on him, he stole my heart.

And with this has started a journey filled with talking in baby voices to grab his attention, his giggles and wails, his tiny hands and feet and the pure joy that comes with having a baby around.

Babies are the most beautiful souls in this world. There is no filter. And how they somehow make their place in your life is so amazing.

The little one’s smile and giggles feel like sunshine on a cloudy day. When I see his face, the entire day’s tiredness and stress vanishes.

The sparkle of innocence in his eyes feels like twinkling stars on a calm and peaceful night.

Even though it’s been just a few months since he arrived in our lives, he has already occupied a huge chunk of my thoughts.

And having his presence in my life is mainly teaching me to enjoy the present moment. Enjoy the peace and calm that envelop me whenever I spend time with this little bundle of joy.

Not to mention, my heart melts a little every time he wraps his pudgy little fingers around mine.

As the saying goes, “It’s the tiny feet that hold the biggest space in our hearts.”
